A K-12 picture says more than 1,000 words

John Trever of the Albuquerque Journal is a local/state treasure. His cartoon from the paper over the weekend about the recent judicial opinion on education funding in New Mexico really nails the issue and is worth sharing.

The Rio Grande Foundation had a more detailed analysis of the decision and our view is that the system being a government-operated monopoly is at the root of the problems with education, but money is not the problem facing New Mexico’s education system. More money will not help the system in any significant way. The system must be overhauled dramatically.
