It appears that withdrawal from the Paris Accords and other aspects of the Trump Administration’s undeniably pro-energy policies are not having the devastating impacts on CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions that critics expected.
Obviously, 2017 data represents just under a year of the Trump presidency. It would appear however that the trend towards lower emissions is continuing. It’s worth noting that the last major decline was in 2009 in the depths of the Great Recession. In 2017 the economy continued to grow.
