The Rio Grande Foundation is proudly New Mexico-centric. We focus our efforts on researching, critiquing, and solving public policy issues in New Mexico, but occasionally groups of foreigners come through as participants in various programs and want to hear how things are done here in the Land of Enchantment.
Today, Rio Grande Foundation president Paul Gessing had the pleasure of speaking to a member of the Romanian Parliament, a reporter from Croatia, policy advisers from Austria, and Germany, and even a Greenpeace staffer from the UK. We discussed how public policy issues work from the federal, state, and local levels including taxes, minimum wage laws, and auto fuel efficiency standards. See the photo below:
