According to this document from the American Action Forum, the so-called “Affordable Care Act,” has cost New Mexico taxpayers $168 million in additional regulatory costs. New Mexico is on the low end of the cost spectrum. Texas has already suffered a regulatory of $1.8 billion while it has cost Arizona taxpayers $567 million.
