The Washington Times recently awarded generous film subsidies the “Golden Hammer” for being “egregious examples of government waste, fraud or abuse.”
New Mexico’s subsidies were specifically-mentioned in the show with a special nod to plans to throw money at the television show “The Bachelor” in hopes of bringing the show to Santa Fe.
I am appalled that politicians and bureaucrats would willingly “donate” taxpayer dollars from one of the poorest states in the union to one of the most prosperous industries in the nation knowing that it is a loosing “investment”.
I would prefer the hollywoodies stay away; pop culture leaders and icons have nothing of benefit to offer – How many are in the 1%?
