New Mexico 9th-highest State and Local Tax Collections as a Percent of Private Sector Personal Income

I ran across this interesting report from Maine recently. The relevant information is on Table 1 which shows that New Mexico has a major private-sector tax burden differential with its neighbors:

NM is ranked 9th heaviest, Colorado is 48, Arizona is 33, Oklahoma is 31, Texas 46, and Utah, 36.

  1. Gee I wonder why with all the intelligent Democrats leading us around. Yes, they pave the road to poverty. We are heavy unionized in this state. Do I hear a Right To Work platform in the future? It is time to wake up.
