New Mexico now has highest unemployment rate among US states

According to the latest (December 2021 data) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, New Mexico has the highest unemployment rate among US states (5.9%). While  that rate continues to drop even here in New Mexico from pandemic highs, the State lags dramatically behind its neighbors (despite rising oil revenues and production).
