The latest unemployment rates for states are out (full list can be found here). New Mexico remains in the top 10 with a rate (9.4%) that is higher than all of its neighbors.
The Rio Grande Foundation continues its effort to get Gov. Lujan Grisham to forego her salary until New Mexico drops out of the worst 10 unemployment rates among US states.

NM is still one of the “terrible ten” states. Excluding DC, two of the current states with the highest unemployment (WV & MA) have Republican governors. All the rest have Dem governors. Republicans control both houses of the legislatures in MI and WV. Dems control both houses of all the other states. An obvious pattern.
