We’ve all seen the “shame on…” union protest posters in front of Albuquerque-area businesses. The New Mexico Watchdog did a story on the non-union protesters here. A lot of times the protesters perch themselves in front of hospitals and churches, but one Wichita car dealer (car dealers are master marketers) who managed to turn the tables on the protesters. Unions aren’t bad things, but when they get greedy and make unrealistic demands then that’s bad!
I agree with you on that Andrew. The important thing is that private sector unions’ demands are limited by what the competitive marketplace can bear. Government unions face no such limits on their power and that’s what FDR had an issue with.
