RGF president visits “old friend” in Florida

The head of the Rio Grande Foundation and his family recently traveled to Florida on vacation. One of the absolute highlights was a trip to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. If you ever make it to Florida it is worth checking out. And, New Mexico’s own Harrison Schmitt looms large in the Apollo Mission exhibits. You can see some moon rocks collected by Schmitt below as well as the seal from Apollo 17 which Schmitt was on.

There is also a neat hologram tool that makes it seem like you are standing in front of Schmitt and talking to him.

Finally, we got to see a Space X launch at dawn from Cape Canaveral.
